Explanation of Powers: Banshee has been taught to focus her inner strength and project it to damage opponents at range and to harden her body against physical attacks.

Background: Kayli was a young girl who grew up in Hell's Kitchen. Her parents died when she was a baby and so her uncle, Father Patrick O'Brien, raised her. The good Father was a strict, but loving man, who demanded nothing but the absolute best from Kayli. She became an excellent student and athlete. Growing up in the roughest part of the city, she also learned to defend herself by learning to box. After high school she entered college under an athletic scholarship. She dropped out shortly after learning that her uncle was murdered by a group of thugs. Kayli returned to her neighborhood and took up the costumed identity of Banshee to avenge her uncle's death.

It was some time later that Banshee met Shadowfist and became good friends with the mystical crimefighter. He taught her how to focus her inner strength to gain powers to help her in her quest. She gave up her dual identity for a short while when it was believed that the Crimson Lotus Tong had killed Shadowfist, she was too distraught to continue. After his miraculous resurrection she resumed her secret identity and became his partner for the next two years. Now that Shadowfist lives on the West Coast, she is once again on her own.

Notes: Banshee is a street level crimefighter, but has been able to hold her own in a higher level campaign. She is a friend and 'unofficial' member of the Justice League Crusaders, and will not hesitate to drop whatever she is doing and help them. Kayli makes a good character for appearances in 'martial art video game' style adventures.
