This is a live-action role-playing (LARP) scenario set in the Serenity/Firefly universe, using the Parlor Larp system. I first ran it at GenCon Indy 2007. The original event description is as follows:
The Coronado is a high-speed armed transport, owned by the Companion's Guild and operated by Captain Frances Granger to protect their interests in the outer worlds. But in a time of crisis from Reaver attacks, she has agreed to take on priority passengers bound for Regina. But all is not as it seems. An event heavy on role-playing, with intrigue and tension. Fancy Old West or Chinese themed clothing suggested but not required.
The character sheets, including all secret information, are included below. The Coronado is the titular "Stagecoach", inspired by the 1939 movie. It also reverses the situation of the Firefly series, in that it is members of the Companion's Guild who are in charge of the ship, with others as passengers. Captain Granger is a master in the Guild (though inactive), and the second-in-command is the next ranking guild member, journeyman Kerry Shepis. The Coronado is a small ship, parallel in size to a fast yacht or helicoptor rather than a freighter like the Firefly class. Their three crew members are pilot Hatfield, doctor Collins, and engineer Chang.
The ship originally had two passengers: Companion's Guild student McLaury and gambler Jamie Holloway. However, on the small planetoid of Jiangyin, an Alliance military cruiser respectfully asked that it help transport Major Sanchez and his two prisoners (Yong Lau and Leslie Boone) on to Regina.
I have a set of rough notes for the Director, but no general introduction.
