A young man in his early twenties, with a wild nature. Since coming of age, he has roamed the lands near Cimmeria for several years as hunter and mercenary, with nothing to tame him. He has become known particularly for his way with animals, and was dubbed "Tamer of Horses" upon his return to the village. He is nephew of Cruaidh, and friend of his younger cousins. Physically, he is rippling with muscles strung sleekly over a powerful frame, like the horses he breaks. His skin is deeply browned from outland suns, his eyes blue and brightly flashing, his face clean-shaven; while a shock of tousled black hair crowns his broad forehead.

Combat: Daor generally wields a greatsword in battle though he can use any weapon proficiently. The Cleave feat means that he may immediately make an additional attack if he kills something in that round. The Diehard feat means that he may act, though disabled, while between -1 and -9 hit points. If he succeeds on a Will save vs terror, he may enter Crimson Mist for up to 7 rounds with the following effects:

• +4 Str (i.e. +2 hit, damage, and parry), +4 Con (i.e. 20 extra hit points), +2 morale bonus to Will saves, -2 DV

• Bull's Charge: Charge and get both +2 to hit and +2 damage, but provoke an attack of opportunity before striking. (Normal charge is only +2 to hit.)
• Leaping Charge: Charge and attack twice at +14/+14, though with -4 DV penalty. (Normal charge would be one +18 attack and -2 DV).
• Pantherish Twist: May cause either or both opponents flanking you to attack each other as their first action, if you beat them on a Dexterity check. But if you fail then their attack is +2 to hit and damage.
• To the Hilt: Take +1 damage, but the weapon sticks in the opponent if the damage roll is over 5 (with no modifiers). While stuck, it does 1d4 damage to the opponent for every action he takes. It can be removed with a full-round action and a Strength check (DC 10).

Skills: Daor has a peculiar way with animals, especially horses. Other than that, he is a simple man -- though his skill at getting into trouble has often been noted.
