The Dark Young of Shub-Niggurath
Shub-Niggurath is a perverse fertility deity, taken from the works of H.P. Lovecraft, and known as "The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young" or referred to in our game as simply the "Dark Mother" by her agents. Lovecraft mentions her only indirectly, but she is described in later stories as an enormous cloudy mass which extrudes black tentacles, slime-dripping mouths, and short, writhing goat legs. Small creatures are spat forth, which are either reconsumed into the miasmatic form or escape to some monstrous life elsewhere.
