Future History

         This is a description of the Earth events which lead up to the expedition launch in 2154. As mentioned in my design notes, this sort of future history tends to say more about the author's political biases than about anything else. However, I feel that some pre-launch background information is needed to give a sense of the motives and culture of the explorers.

         The main technological revolutions between now and 2154 are in biology. The physical sciences continue to advance, but have fewer unexpected results.
